  • HPAI (H5N5) has been detected in a commercial poultry flock in Yorkshire, England (05/11/2024).

 

  • Since 1st October 2024, there have been 135 outbreaks of HPAI (H5N1) in poultry flocks across Europe reported to the European Commission, the majority of which have been in Hungary (to date as of 07/11/2024).

 

  • High biosecurity standards are of paramount importance in preventing Avian Influenza outbreaks.

 

  • All birds keepers are reminded to remain vigilant for signs of disease in their flocks and report any suspicion of HPAI without delay to their local Regional Veterinary Office (RVO).
