Description Salmonellosis can be caused by either S. Typhimurium or S. Enteritidis. Both can cause food poisoning in humans. S. Typhimurium can cause illness in cattle, sheep and horses also. S. Enteritidis is often subclinical in poultry but can cause clinical disease in mammals.
